Cotton Duck Work Chaps are perhaps our most versatile chaps. These are made of the same 12 oz. cotton duck your best work pants come in and the same colors! Being cotton, these aren’t water resistant (buy our nylon chaps for that) but rather these chaps are meant for protection against dirt and abrasion and to add warmth when the sun isn’t high enough for just wearing shorts. Because of the easy on- easy off feature, you can quickly decide when and where to wear these. Great for summer horseback riding to keep horsehair and dirt off your jeans. Worn with shorts,these chaps replace those cumbersome “zip-off” pants which hikers rarely zip-off. Since you don’t need to remove your boots to take these off, you can choose between chaps and shorts without stopping. Carpenters like these chaps for work sites which fluctuate between too cold in the morning to too hot at noon. Bird watching in wet briars? ... throw a pair of work chaps on over your jeans ... peal them off when you head inside!
